SR Construction receives “Best of 2006 Award” for Best Interior Project under $5 Million from SW Contractor
(Las Vegas)- SW Contractor announced that Las Vegas-based SR Construction was selected for the “Best of 2006” Award for Tang Industries in the category for Best Interior Project under $5 million.
Tang Industries is a holding company with a diverse and global reach. In the design of their new 8,885 SF headquarters in Las Vegas, the interior design reflects the culture of the organization as well as Tang’s innovative approach to the future and the company’s Chinese heritage. For this reason, the office has a decidedly contemporary look, and subtle references are made to Asian design in the wood slat ceiling that highlights the corridor between reception and the executive suite, the bamboo flooring in the break room, and the use of stone slab and tile for flooring and countertops.
Southwest Contractor's panel of judges was selected from the construction community with this year's entries showcasing a vast array of projects representing diversity of the region's design and construction community.
Project eligibility was limited to those that were completed between August 2005 and December 2006. Winning projects were chosen on the following criteria: quality of design and construction, innovation, contribution to the industry, ability to overcome challenges and overall excellence.
