Scott Loughridge, CHC, ASHE, LEED® AP
Owner / CEO / President
Scott Loughridge is Owner / CEO / President of SR. Mr. Loughridge has over 35 years of progressive Design/Build and CMAR experience consisting of over 500 projects that span the southwest. Mr. Loughridge established SR in 1991 with the vision of creating a Design/Build firm totally dedicated to client satisfaction. With that passion to ensure each client a positive journey, he created The “SR BUILT” Process which has truly differentiated SR from the conventional General Contractor. Responsible for the overall strategic and long range planning at SR, Mr. Loughridge also spends much of his time contributing his expertise to the Design and Preconstruction facet of the company’s projects.
Education: Bachelor of Architecture, University of Colorado, Boulder CO; Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC), American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE); US Green Building Council LEED Accredited, Lean Construction Certification
Professional Affiliations: Design/Build Institute of America (DBIA) Board Member - Nevada Representative Western Pacific Region; National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB) Founding Board Member; National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Member; CC Development Services Customer Participation Committee, Member; Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Member & Past President; US Green Building Council (USGBC) Member. Mr. Loughridge volunteers his time and directs a company wide effort for the Angel Tree Program to support underserved children in Southern Nevada.
Larry Hawthorne, ASHE, LEED® AP
Senior Vice President
Larry Hawthorne is the Senior Vice President at SR. He has served over 20 years in the medical construction industry both in the Las Vegas market as well as nationally. Mr. Hawthorne is seasoned in all areas of project management and has managed a vast array of healthcare projects of varied size and scope. He brings invaluable knowledge from his lead roles in overall preconstruction and operations enabling him to ensure The "SR BUILT” Process. Mr. Hawthorne is an integral member of SR's executive team and exceeds in his management capabilities.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming
Professional Affiliations: (ASHE) the American Society of Healthcare Engineers and (ABC) the Associated Builders & Contractors.
Jerry Smedley
Chief Financial Officer
Jerry Smedley is Chief Financial Officer for SR Construction. Mr. Smedley brings over 27 years experience in construction and real estate development, gained primarily as the controller of a successful general contractor/developer in New York. He is responsible for the accurate preparation of financial reports that summarize and forecast the company's financial position. Mr. Smedley interfaces with senior management, operations, business development, and project management in reviewing and monitoring individual job progress and performance to assure the delivery of superior and cost efficient projects to their clients.
Education: Bachelor of Science, Business Management from the University of Buffalo, NY

Jeff Northrup
Preconstruction Director
Jeff Northrup is Director of Preconstruction at SR. He brings over 20 years of progressive Design/Build and CMAR construction experience to the company, specifically in the healthcare, hospitality, commercial, and federal government sectors. Mr. Northrup’s strength is in forming and managing specialized teams of professionals/consultants during the preconstruction process for both private and public sector projects. He has a proven track record of managing consultants and internal company resources, design and project schedules, meeting client expectations and providing an enjoyable project delivery for every client.
Education: Master's in Business Administration from Webster University in San Antonio, TX and a Bachelors in Political Science/History from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS.
Professional Affiliations: Mr. Northrup formally served as a District Magistrate Judge in the State of Kansas, 15th Judicial District and is a current member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE).
SR Construction - East, Inc.
Mr. Garcia brings over twenty five years of progressive Design/Build construction experience to SR Construction - East having built numerous healthcare and commercial projects throughout the U.S. He has a proven track record of bringing value, integrity and solutions to some of the most technical and logistically challenged projects and budgets. The fact that most of his work has been for repeat or referred clients speaks for itself!
Prior to establishing SR Construction - East, Inc., Mr. Garcia served over a decade with SR Construction in Las Vegas, Nevada. He initially joined SR in 1999 in the role of senior project manager, was quickly appointed vice president in 2003 and president in 2005. His structure and leadership skills allowed him to focus on future planning for the company with pioneering and challenging projects as well establishing the organization as the premier Healthcare builder in Southern Nevada.
Throughout his career at SR, Mr. Garcia was fundamental in helping to transition the firm into an organization recognized for its innovative approach to construction long before BIM and LEAN were the buzzwords they are today. His passion for providing clients value thru the entire process is supported by his commitment to continuous improvement as evidenced by his Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification, LEED AP Certification and becoming one of the pioneer recipients of the Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation through the American Hospital Association. Prior to joining SR Construction, Mr. Garcia served roles of project management or leadership with Pepper Construction Company, Itasca Construction and Roberts Ecker Mock Corporation in the Chicago metro area after receiving his BS degree in Construction from Purdue University.
